moving my blog

I have another blog called Feliz Family Postings, I am going to move this current one, Feliz Family Memories, to my new one. I don't know how to reach all of you so you can find my new blog. I am going to try and bring this one over too. I will move it next week. The reason I am moving this one is because it only lets me sign in on my old e-mail which I do not have any longer so that is why I created a new blog. Good luck in finding me.

Birthday's for January

Whew, what a week, we took off to San Diego via Las Vegas, we celebrated our anniversary with our good friends Emmet and Et and family, then on Thur we left for San Diego, it was go go go, On friday my brother Frankie and his wife Pat came over from Tacoma, Debbie, Dad, me, Del, Frankie and Pat all went to lunch in San Diego called Lugies, it was featured on diners, drive ins and ??? anyway, it was suppose to be outstanding pizza place, ugh, don't recommend it, we were all disapointed, after that Del and I went to visit it Aunt and Uncle, then off to Diana's (Del's sister) house, then we had to go see a friend of mine, Roxanna. Finally we got home around 7 pm, Saturday, we had to run up to the hospital to see my friend, then we went to visit with my MIL,(Virginia) and Joe, then we went to check into our hotel (my friend Roxanna decided to treat us for our anniversary), then it was off to Larry's house for the 1st of birthday parties, my brother Frankie bbq'ed ribs, yum and we had a blast, it was my Dad's 94th birthday, I will be posting pictures of both birthdays. We finally got back to the hotel around 8 pm, on Sunday we were running around again and went to say goodbye to my Dad because we were leaving from the birthday luncheon. we wanted to get a head start on MOnday's traffic.

Anyway, we all arrived at Marie Callendar's in Chula Vista for my MIL, Virginia< 90th birthday, Diana, me, Del, Nathaniel, Little Eddie (not so little any longer) big Eddie, Dina, Josh, Marcus, Virginia, and Joe, had a great time but it went so fast. We were on the road by 4:30 pm, made it up to Adalento the high desert around 7pm, checked into a motel, we thought Kathy Bates was going to show up anytime, what a dump, oh well, Del and I slept on top of the bed in our own blankets, it was awful, but no choice. Anyway, we headed out by 7 am and had a great trip the rest of the way home, it was so good to be home but so glad we got to celebrate the birthdays.

Happy Anniversary to us

I cannot believe that it has been 52 years since we said "I do", we have so many memories, so many adventures, so many blessings. We have had a good life, we have had our ups and we have had our downs but during all this time we have grown together and and we still have deep love for each other. We have so much left to do yet and we are looking forward to celebrating our 60th and if God willing we will get to celebrate our 75th.

This past Sunday we went to our daughter's house (Marina) for Sunday dinner, we have a wonderful time and it was fun to see the kids playing and running around and to see our grown grandchildren talking and laughing and to have fellowship with friends. It was a wonderful Sunday dinner and Marina said it was for our anniversary.

Now we are off on another trip, we headed to Las Vegas for a few days then it will be off to San Diego to celebrate two more milestones, 90th birthday for my Mother in Law and 94th birthday for my dad.

Love being with family and friends. Life is good.

No parent should bury their child

Today we went to a memorial for our friends Effie and Clint Hershey, their oldest daughter Janice passed away on the 9th of January of this year, she had three children who she could be proud of, Janice was not the best of mom's but she tried her hardest, she was caught up in the drug world very deeply, her Mom and Dad raised her 3 children but Janice was always in their lives somehow and somewhens. She finally recovered from her drug addiction a few years back but could not undertake the raising of her children full time but she has kids to be proud of, I don't know too much of what her oldest daughter is doing in her life but from what I heard she is a responsible Mom and is doing well, her 2nd daughter is in the Navy and she is doing well and her son is still in high school and is outstanding athlete, The Hersheys are very proud of their grandchildren and was proud that Janice got the help she needed and was starting to turn her life around. No matter how deep she sank they loved their child, hurt for their child and was proud of their child when she did something good. Rest in Peace Janice you can hurt no more.

thinking of one year ago

Here I am sitting here thinking that one year ago we were sitting in Alaska freezing our you know what off, minus degrees, wind blowing, wearing thermals, slipping and sliding on icy streets but loving it, loving seeing the moose, loving seeing the bright stars, loving the full moons, loving hearing the train whistles at night. Loving being with my family in Alaska

But today I am sitting here in Nevada looking out my window to blue skies, sunshine and 50 degree weather. I am loving it. I am loving to be able to jump in our car and take off to where ever we want and getting to see the different sights, loving being with grandkids, loving being with family in Nevada.

I am counting all of my blessings and loving life right now.

update on Grandpa Frank

I just received an e-mail from my sister regarding our Dad, here it is.

Daddy is doing well. He has an appointment on the 20th at 9AM for his heart, which is beating too fast. His on a medication to regulate it, and if that doesn't work, then they'll do the electrical shock. Jim had the same procedure done when he had his heart surgery 9 years ago. He had to have some repair work done on his valves, which he most likely was born with. But he said they give you a sedative where you completely block out any memory of the procedure

Jim is my sisters friend. We are going to San Diego at the end of the month because it is Dad's 94th birthday. I will keep the updates coming.
